The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is one of six countries which make up the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), a body established in 1981 to strengthen cooperation in key sectors (agriculture, industry, investment, security and trade) among its member. The GCC is made up of Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Yemen.
Situated at the north-eastern tip of the Arabian Peninsula, the UAE covers an area of 83,600 square kilometers. It is bordered by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the south and west, and the Sultanate of Oman to the east and north. Its coastline borders both the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Gulf and is south of hte strategically important Strait of Hormuz.
Formally established on 2 December 1971, the UAE is a constitutional federation of seven emirates: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah.
Al Fahim Group's path to success aligns closely with the extraordinary success of Abu Dhabi, the capital of an oil-rich Nation, which in the span of five short decades, dramatically transformed from a Bedouin outport dependent on pearl diving, fishing and cultivating dates to a thriving cosmopolitan city offering a standard of living that is the envy of many.
Following the discovery of oil in the early 1960s, the city and country transformed dramatically under the wise and progressive leadership of the country's first president the late His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. With the foresight to vigorously embrace urban development and growth opportunities, Al Fahim Group's story closely parallels the success of the Nation. Today, the UAE and Abu Dhabi continue to pursue a highly liberal, business friendly and market-oriented growth strategy. It's an environment that has stimulated steady growth for Al Fahim Group in the past, and armed with new foresight and a proven track record, it will continue to do so in the future.
With a healthy market share in the oil and gas services sector and a strong foothold in trade, Al Fahim Group's strategic positioning couldn't be better. Many of its past successes were nurtured through its broad range of trade activities. In the early days, its founder traded food and other goods on the outskirts of Al Ain - today, as Abu Dhabi's market leader in luxury car sales, with several automotive outlets located throughout the UAE, it is still an active trader, although on a much broader scale.
Set in this context, Al Fahim Group's growth opportunities are limitless. Its stable, transparent leadership, which has generated a solid track record over the past five decades and numerous success stories, which demonstrates its foresight and business acumen, combine to create a powerful force with deeply entrenched roots. All this, complemented by ethics of the highest standard and a caring and compassionate nature, creates an extraordinary organization.
