Al Fahim Group’s Emirates Motor Company receives General Distributor of the Year Award from DaimlerFeb 07, 2017
Emirates Motor Company (EMC) Passenger Cars landed three trophies at the annual Mercedes-Benz Middle East awards, including the General Distributor of the Year.
The prestigious titles of Best PR for 2016 and Best Marketing Activation were awarded for the creative promotional work it carried out at two of the biggest events in the Abu Dhabi calendar last year, while the General Distributor title considers all aspects of sales, marketing and corporate social responsibility.
The capital based Mercedes-Benz distributor scooped the activation trophy for its efforts at the Taste of Abu Dhabi food festival in November, while its PR campaign for January 2016’s global golf event, the HSBC Championship Abu Dhabi, also received the top prize.
Lennart Mueller-Teut, Head of Marketing & Communications at Mercedes-Benz Cars Middle East said: “We would like to congratulate EMC on their well-earned awards. Both their brand activation and their PR activation were creative, well executed, innovative and ultimately resulted in great coverage and measurable results which show fantastic reach to an audience of press and consumers.
“EMC is a valuable partner with great expertise in the region and we look forward to collaborating in the future on more great marketing.”
The annual awards are hotly contested amongst Mercedes-Benz distributors in ten MENA countries - Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, KSA, Oman, Pakistan and the UAE. EMC has a strong record at the awards and did the UAE proud once again.
Emirates Motor Company (EMC), is the authorised Mercedes-Benz distributor in Abu Dhabi and flagship company of Al Fahim Group.
Frank Bernthaler, CEO of Al Fahim Automotive, said: “It means a great deal to have our efforts recognized at such a prestigious event and when we were up against such strong competition from all the other fantastic distributors in the nine other countries.
“Al Fahim Group is a family owned business that holds a deep belief in values that make the entire team feel like one big family. Everyone works tirelessly to ensure we get great results from our sales and marketing activities and these awards are recognition of that hard work and creative thinking.”
EMC’s interactive mobile showroom was the place to go at the Taste of Abu Dhabi food festival with the firm setting up a series of games and competitions for all the family next to its stunning GLC Coupe. Meanwhile, its creative PR campaign at the HSBC World Championship got the public emotionally involved through a humanitarian initiative with the Special Care Center and the Abu Dhabi Sports Council.
Ramez Youssef, the Head of Marketing and Communications at Al Fahim Group said “EMC is committed to engaging with its customers and the community at large through these events, which are so important to the city and the country and are therefore very well aligned to our core value of humanity.
Al Fahim Group believes that supporting and sponsoring events in the UAE is an absolutely vital part of its marketing and overall strategy. EMC recently sponsored the Mubadala World Tennis Championship, returned to the HSBC Championship in January and will also be the automotive sponsors of the Abu Dhabi Tour cycling event in February.
