| Abdul Jalil Award |

The Abdul Jalil Mohammed Al Fahim Award of Distinction for High School Graduates in the UAE is a prestigious academic award that was launched in 1997. The initiative was taken by the sons of the late Abdul Jalil Mohammed Al Fahim – the Board of Directors of Al Fahim – to found this award to commemorate their late father who was very much concerned with the education and determined to help produce a very well educated generation of young UAE nationals that will be the leaders of tomorrow. It was also drawn on the encouragement and inspiration of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan’s concern for promoting education to the nation’s youth. Al Fahim presents a gift to Sheikh Nhayan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan to a token of appreciation. The main aim of the award is to create a healthy competition between students, which will eventually promote the standard of education. Students then will be keener on learning to achieve better results at the end of the year. The award honors and rewards the first 10 students of the Science section and the first 10 in the Arts section. The number of distinguished students has been increasing throughout the years and this is an evidence of the success of this award.
